Date and time
Friday 5th April 2024, 20:00 - 22:00
Description
For 40 years, Fergal Keane’s sagacious reporting has transported us into the heart of hardships across the world. From Kyiv to Kigali, he has held architects of atrocity to account while championing unsung stories of bravery, resilience and resistance.
Spanning a plethora of subjects including Irish identity, humanitarian and economic crises and his own experiences with post-traumatic stress disorder, his work has shone a light on countless crucial issues of our times; leaving audiences better informed of -and more engaged- with the world as a result.
Speaking with James OR, Fergal shares what being Irish means to him, the ways it has shaped his life and work, and how he fosters his own creativity in today’s attention economy.
The Irish Creative Collective is a grassroots organisation that curates networking, cultural and showcasing events for Irish creatives and artists living in London. Whether you're Irish-born or connected by heritage, you're invited to join our thriving community. Comhráite, a 6-part series, is just one component of our exciting 2024 plans, which you can learn more about on Instagram (@irishcreativecollective).
When purchasing your ticket, you’ll see an option to donate £10 directly to the Collective to help it continue its work of nurturing Irish creativity across the capital. Please don’t feel obliged to select this tier, but every contribution is much appreciated.
