Date and time

Thursday 3rd October 2024, 19:00 - 21:00

Description

To celebrate National Poetry Day, we invite you to a poetry workshop at the ICC facilitated by poet and performer Demi Anter.

Attendees will be led through a series of creative writing exercises inspired by poets from around the world, past and present. We will look at a wide variety of poems to gather ideas for our own writing. Participants will have a chance to share their work and receive feedback.

Prior experience writing poetry is not necessary. Anyone with a curiosity about poetry is welcome. The workshop is suitable for all ages though we request that writers under the age of 14 be accompanied by an adult.

Can’t join us in person? Participate in National Poetry Day by sharing a poem on social media using the hashtag #NationalPoetryDay.
