Description
On 2nd Feb, we continue Mary Ellen’s Celtic Wheel events with Inspirational Imbolc. On this national Irish holiday we invite you to awaken your feminine energy, ignite your imbus—inspiration and connect to the source within.
Le chéile— together we rejoice in the start of Spring with Goddess Bríg who embodies tús maith—a bold beginning, revered for thousands of years with fire and filíocht—poetry. Through Mnátra meditation you’ll connect to the language and land-lore of this lineage.
Known in the ancient Irish books as i mbolg—in the belly, this Celtic fire festival celebrates creativity, fertility and rebirth.
Guided by Mary Ellen you’ll embark on a transformative turas—journey connecting to Bríg, a protective force, empowering you to centre yourself in síocháin—peace, hope and healing.
With her Mnáology scéalta—stories and group sharing, you’ll explore how the start of the Celtic light half of the year evolved into Lá Fhéile Bríde—St. Brigid’s Day, as pagan rituals became fite fuaite—intertwined with church customs.
As the year turns, bígí linn—join us as we grow this wonderful community, bonding at each event in cinéaltacht agus cneastacht—kindness and warmth.
As usual they’ll be a cupán afterwards and Mary Ellen will uplift us from the daily grind with her cúpla focail—Irish words sprinkled throughout, like snowdrops in the February fields.
