Banjo and Mandolin Lessons at the ICC - Summer 2025

The ICC are pleased to offer a group learning class in banjo and mandolin tuition. There are opportunities in these sessions for group practice and playing. We encourage anyone interested in learning a new skill to join.

Classes are suitable for adults and children aged 8+.

Mick O’Connor’s four string tenor banjo and mandolin classes take place as follows: 

TIMES | Saturday mornings 11am - 1pm

About Mick O'Connor:

Mick O’Connor has been playing the tenor banjo and the mandolin for over 50 years and teaching both for 35 years. He won the all Ireland banjo champion at the Fleadh Cheoil in 1971 and with the Thatch Ceili band in 1986 and 87. Mick has toured in many countries throughout the world playing music and recorded with with many greats of Irish music including Paddy Carty, Tommy Makem, Kevin Burke, Brendan Shine, Donal Lenny and more recently with Wraggle Taggle and Antoin Mac Gabhann.
